Gleeson Recruitment Group are looking for a high-impact role in internal audit? We are partnering with a leading organisation based in Birmingham City Centre to recruit an Internal Audit Manager to join their dynamic team.

As an Internal Audit Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the internal audit strategy, providing valuable insights to senior stakeholders, and ensuring robust risk management across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is keen to add commercial value beyond traditional audit responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver risk-based internal audit reviews, identifying key areas for improvement and driving best practice.
  • Provide assurance on governance, risk management, and control frameworks across the organisation.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, offering strategic advice and influencing decision-making.
  • Support the development of junior auditors, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory developments, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and standards.
About You:
  • ACA or CA qualified, with a strong technical background gained in a practice environment.
  • Experience in internal audit, risk, or controls within industry or financial services is advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Commercially astute, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and adding value.
  • Degree in accountancy, economics or business.
