M&E Project Manager

Primary Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced ProjectManager to lead a team of Project Engineers. This role will be responsible for delivering Venue Refresh Projects, assisting Managing Directors in formulating their Venue Refresh Plans, and contributing to business growth through new ventures. Managing a significant budget, you will work closely with Group Procurement to ensure optimal value for money.
Collaboration with the Group Operations Director and Group Engineering Manager is essential to ensure maximum return on investments, compliance with Group standards, and effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the delivery of Venue Refresh Plans, Small Works, Visitor Improvement Programs, and other group projects.

Lead, manage, and motivate a team of Project Engineers.

Set clear objectives for all team members and conduct regular performance evaluations.

Define project goals including timeframes, value, impact, and ROI.

Manage project budgets up to 15 million, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with business objectives.

Develop specifications, tender documents, and evaluate bids in collaboration with Group Procurement.

Effectively handle a diverse portfolio of projects running concurrently.

Assist MDs in compiling annual Venue Refresh Project requirements.

Act as or appoint a Planning Supervisor for projects under Construction Design and Management Regulations.

Ensure all project work aligns with the Group Energy Policy and sustainability goals.

Plan and coordinate projects to minimize disruption to venue operations, exhibitions, events, and performances.

Align project execution with business strategies, manage stakeholders, and communicate project status effectively.

Verify and validate project requirements to ensure successful delivery.
Skills and Experience Required:

Degree in Engineering, Building, or a related discipline (preferred).

Proven experience in managing a multi-disciplinary team.

Strong financial acumen with a track record of budgetary improvements.

Deep understanding of the NEC Group businesses.

Demonstrated success in customer-focused, proactive project delivery.

Excellent communication and leadership skills at all levels.

Proficiency in IT and project management tools.

Bilingual skills (preferred but not essential).

Strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
