K3 Capital Group is a dynamic and forward-thinking financial advisory services company with a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and business advisory services. Following our acquisition in February 2023, by the US PE firm, Sun Capital, our growth has accelerated.  We are in the process of launching a transformational Transaction and Data Services business focussing primarily on due diligence and data analytics. We are seeking to recruit team members across all grades from Trainee Executive - MD to help grow a Financial Due Diligence and data analytics line of business within our mid-market segment across different regions, initially in the UK. This strategic initiative aims to leverage existing relationships across the K3 Capital Group, with full support from our owners, Sun Capital, a US private equity firm.

Role Overview for Manager: 

As a Transaction Services Manager with typically two years’ experience focusing on Financial Due Diligence, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of this new line of business.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to help shape the future of financial due diligence.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who is looking to further their career in deal advisory. This is a truly unique opportunity to work within a US private equity backed entrepreneurial boutique and grow a relatively new service line to a pre-existing and wide ranging client base. As the business grows so will your responsibility and seniority.  You will also be required to lead smaller engagements (with support) and assist the directors in running more complex engagements, keeping the client informed of any issues as they arise. Not only will you get the chance to build relationships with our client base and work with more traditional corporate finance and private equity firms, you will also be supported to further develop your own network of potential clients and intermediaries.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a detailed understanding of the business and its clients
  • Lead smaller engagements from start to finish, with support from the directors, liaising with the client and target as appropriate
  • Write detailed, high quality, reports highlighting key risks pertaining to a transaction
  • Analyse and present insightful analysis of a businesses financial performance including it’s key value drivers and trends
  • Manipulate large data sets to provide compelling, value add outputs
  • Effectively communicate insights, requirements and timelines both internally and externally 

 Essential requirements:

  • Three years’ experience in a transaction services role (or equivalent)
  • Excellent report writing skills (PowerPoint experience is a bonus)
  • Fluency in Excel
  • Chartered accountancy qualification or equivalent (ICAEW/ACCA qualified)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work with others effectively in teams and being able to work under own initiative under tight timeframes
  • Commercial mindset and the ability to present to clients effectively 
  • Ability to manage teams and prioritise workloads
