Description
- Offer financial guidance and support to facilitate key business decisions with senior executives.
- Oversee financial projects, ensuring cost control and budget management in line with GovS 006.
- Lead financial reporting and analysis, providing accurate and timely financial information.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with differentiating priorities.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Interpret and report insights from management reports to facilitate the decision-making process by senior business leaders.
- Participate in the development of strategic business plans.
- Oversee the month end process, analytics, variance analysis and provide assurance for reporting packs.
- Review and challenge funding requests in line with HM Treasury's Managing Public Money.
Profile
A successful Senior Finance Business Partner should have:
- Accounting Qualification.
- Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
- Experience with infrastructure/property projects.
- Knowledge of Public Sector spending (DEL/AME funding).
- Proficiency in major accounting software and databases.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
