Our client, a prestigious Tier 1 Legal 500 law firm based in Birmingham, is seeking a Trusts Manager to join their highly regarded Private Client team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor, accountant, or experienced professional looking for a technical role with flexible working arrangements.

The Role

The Trusts Manager will focus on trust accounts and tax returns, with scope to expand into personal tax and compliance work. The nature of the files means you'll work closely with a partner, providing support on complex matters, while having the freedom to take on as much or as little client contact as you prefer.

This role would particularly suit:

  • A solicitor, accountant, or non-qualified professional with relevant experience.
  • A former private client solicitor seeking a technical, less client-facing role.
  • Someone looking for flexible working arrangements, including part-time hours (minimum 3 days per week).
Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and managing trust accounts and tax returns.
  • Advising trustees and clients on tax planning to ensure compliance while maximising efficiency.
  • Preparing inheritance tax accounts and supporting personal tax compliance.
  • Collaborating with partners, clients, and third-party professionals to gather and validate information.
  • Staying up to date with tax legislation and HMRC requirements.
