Calibre Search have a brilliant position available for an Associate Director Building Surveyor looking for their next role within Birmingham.

After recently helping this Building Surveying Practice bring in their new office lead, they're now looking for their next strategic hire to bring in either an experienced Associate Building Surveyor or an ambitious Senior Building Surveyor looking for that next step in responsibility and progression.

This practice have undergone huge changes due to their success in opening up a new office towards the west side of Birmingham and after bringing in their new director who has secured new workload, they now require you to be their second in command and help manage the two graduates in the day to day management as well as being the technical surveying lead for a range of ongoing projects.

You will have full support from the Practice and other Directors of the business as you progress within this practice and they will have achievable and realistic targets to help progress you up towards Director level later down the line.

Business development skills are always welcomed but this particular role doesn't require you to be BD focused so you can simply focus on delivery and assisting the new Director with the team. This role is heavily education sector focused (schools, colleges, Universities etc) so if you have similar sector knowledge, this would be advantageous but the Practice are happy to consider Building Surveyors from other sectors as long as the technical skills can be shown.

Great role for any senior level surveyor wanting to become more integral to a growing and modern style Consultancy who are only on an upward trajectory.

Relevant Experience:

  • Relevant degree qualified (Building Surveying/Construction Management)
  • MRICS Qualified or close to achieving
  • Proven track record as a Building Surveyor (ideally within a consultancy/client-side environment)
  • Knowledge and experience working through RIBA Stages
  • Responsible for managing and delivering your own projects on time and within budget
  • Experience in commercial surveying experience - Pre Acquisition surveys/Dilapidations/Party Wall Disputes/Landlord & Tenant services
  • Dealing with Tenders, negotiating with contractors, procurement knowledge etc
  • Comfortable in Client facing role and developing Client relationships
