Pay Rate: 105 - 115 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term, Long-term to Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Long Term Futures are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support children with challenging behaviour, ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs in a mainstream primary school in Aston, Birmingham. This is a rewarding role where you will work one-to-one with pupils to help them regulate their emotions, build confidence, and access learning in a positive and structured environment. For the right candidate, this role has potential to become permanent.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support to children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural needs
- Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive engagement
- Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and pastoral team to support emotional and social development
- Use de-escalation techniques and structured interventions to manage challenging situations
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning space for pupils
We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or challenging behaviour in a school or similar setting
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour management
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of de-escalation strategies, emotional regulation techniques, or trauma-informed approaches
