Land Referencing Technical Lead - Associate Partner
Birmingham or Nottingham


This is a hybrid role, ideally 2-3 days in the office.

Our client is looking for an experiencedLand Referencing Technical Leadto assist ongoing growth of the firm's Land Assembly team; the effective leadership and management of a team with substantial TWAO, CPO and DCO experience and management of finances to achieve and exceed budget; strengthening our client's profile within this market. To ensure all services are communicated to clients, and staff, to maximise cross selling, and increase market share in order to achieve the objectives and vision of our client.

Main tasks:
Creating Project plans and resourcing work packages.
Day to day supervision and coordination of technical land referencing delivery
Ensuring client-side purchase orders are in place and variation orders are appropriately signed off and monitored
Providing sound advice and effective management for a wide range of property industry and private clients.
Ensuring that technical teams complete work on time and budget
Support the performance of the team and provide ongoing management and guidance as needed
Planning and reviewing training and development needs of the team.
Produce resource, scope and cost estimates to support commercial tender opportunities.

What will it take to be successful?
You will have gained extensive Land Referencing skills and ideally have experience of working on major infrastructure schemes as part of multi-discipline teams. A thorough knowledge of planning and compulsory purchase legislation and the ability to demonstrate familiarity with GIS for the digitisation of title plans, and some understanding of a database-based system for producing statutory notices and books of reference are key for this role.
If you have a thorough knowledge of the Planning Act and relevant rules of land referencing this would be advantageous as would strong commercial awareness, including finance & technical project management. We would like you to possess a business development-orientated attitude, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and quality to our clients.
