Position: Leakage Technician
Employment: Full time 40 hours per week - Days - Monday - Friday
Engagement : 6 months temporary to permanent
Salary: £26-28,000 + benefits and package ( dependant on experience )
Location: Birmingham
 
My client is a large utilities contractor with a great reputation in the water industry. They have an excellent reputation as one of the highest performing water utilities contractors in the UK and offer excellent opportunities to build a career in the water utilities sector.
 
They are currently looking for Leakage Technicians or those looking to become a leakage technician and work on Seven Trent Water projects in the Birmingham area.  This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the largest water consultancies attached to multiple water utility frameworks such as Southern Water, Thames Water, South East Water, Seven Trent Water and many more.
 
The role consists of identifying water leaks underground using above ground tracing and sounding techniques. You will be provided with a company vehicle and training. The ideal candidate will have local road knowledge and be prepared to learn new skills.
 
The role:
·Detecting water leaks
·Locating issues in water supply
·Walking local areas to trace leaks
·Driving to site to work on DMA
 
Requirements:
·Full UK Driving License
·Able to walk long distances a day
·Good basic Maths & English skils
·Basic IT knowledge
·Good hearing to use equipment
·Willing to work nights and weekends and overtime when required
·Good team and lone working
·Ability to communicate findings
 
On offer is a salary of £26-28,000 based working Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
In addition to this there is an opportunity for overtime at an enhanced rates X1.5 along with a fully expensed company vehicle.
