New Build Conveyancing Assistant – Birmingham

A thriving and reputable multi-site law firm, well known for its exceptional Conveyancing services across the West Midlands, is seeking a New Build Conveyancing Assistant to join its dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for career progression, with full support provided to enable you to transition into a fee-earning position within a short period of time.

The Role:

As a New Build Conveyancing Assistant, you will provide full administrative and paralegal support to a New Build Conveyancer, assisting with all aspects of their day-to-day workload. You will gain hands-on experience with both general administrative tasks and more complex legal work, allowing you to develop your knowledge and expertise in this specialist area of law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing full support to the Conveyancing department to ensure efficient operation
  • Attending to clients both on the telephone and in person
  • Maintaining strong relationships with new business introducers
  • Preparing mail and enclosures for dispatch
  • Assisting Fee Earners with sales, purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity from inception to completion
  • Ordering property searches
  • Reviewing mortgage offers and reporting to clients and lenders

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least 6-12 months experience in a conveyancing department, ideally dealing with new build properties
  • A high level of enthusiasm, hard work and passion for conveyancing
  • Strong initiative and attention to detail
  • The ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong organisational, methodical and adaptable skills
