Our client who was awarded great place to work in 2024 is looking for a driven candidate to join their team in navigating global shipping and logistic challenges with precision and excellence.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in ocean import shipments and have direct experience working for a UK based freight forwarder.

Main Duties:

  • Facilitate the timely and compliant importation of ocean freight shipments
  • Coordinate with carriers, shipping lines, and other service providers to ensure efficient transport of goods
  • Complete documentation and maintain accurate records of import activities
  • Communicate with clients and provide exceptional customer service to meet their import requirements
  • Monitor shipment status and handle any issues or delays that may arise
  • Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and international trade laws
  • Work closely with internal teams to optimize import processes and address any logistics challenges
  • Proactively identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Requirements:

  • Experience doing Imports - start to finish
  • Previous experience within a freight forwarding company
  • Cargowise experience
  • High level of communication skills
  • Commercial knowledge
