SAP HR / PY (Payroll) Functional Consultant - ABAB / Debugging - West Midlands

3-6 Months 675-750 P/D Inside IR35 Hybrid - x1-2 days per week on-site

SAP HR / PY (Payroll) Functional Consultant required for our leading client based in West Midlands. We are currently seeking an experienced SAP HR / PY (Payroll) Functional Consultant to join our clients team and support the setup of new payroll systems as they integrate additional employees after a recent acquisition. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP HR, especially within the Payroll modules, and have strong experience with SAP ABAP and Debugging - including areas like configuration, integration, and troubleshooting. This role involves working closely with HR and IT teams to ensure that payroll processes within the SAP system run smoothly and are optimised for efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Extensive SAP HR/PY Experience

Strong SAP ABAP & Debugging experience

Customise and modify the SAP Payroll/HR module and Configuration updates, to meet specific business requirements, including payroll schemas, wage types, payroll areas, and contract types.

Collaborate with other SAP modules (such as SAP FI) to ensure seamless integration and data exchange across systems.

Partner with HR and business stakeholders to gather and evaluate payroll-related requirements.

Previous Testing UAT/SAP HR PY modules

Previous SAP HR/PY Requirement gatherings

Assist the testing team by developing test plans, conducting unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system functionality.

Provide ongoing support to end-users, address payroll-related issues, and resolve any defects in a timely manner.

Create and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and user guides for payroll operations.

Ensure that payroll processes comply with legal and regulatory standards, particularly in relation to tax calculations, reporting, and statutory deductions.
