PSR Solutions are working with a market leading client within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit a Senior Estimator to Join their Pre-Construction team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in the West Midlands and will involve winning work for Major civils projects.
Senior Estimator Roles and Responsibilities
- Making initial contact with clients to confirm accept or decline of tender.
- Assisting in producing take-offs and cost database for analysis by others
- Calculate the cost of materials, transport, labour and plant hire.
- Undergo regular site visits to understand the process/ timings and sciences of estimating including the realization of the labour/ plant and material aspect of any given construction process.
- Keeping up to date with inflation and projected timescale costs.
Senior Estimator Requirements
- Ideally a minimum of 3 years experience working as an Estimator within the area.
- General Knowledge of contractual terms within the construction industry.
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft packages including Excel
- Effective communicator - Both written and verbal
- Skilled Negotiator with strong mathematical ability
- Problem Solver
