Our client are a dynamic and growing construction company specializing in Residential, Industrial, and Commercial projects.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join their team and play a key role in securing new build and refurbishment contracts. This role offers the chance to work on diverse projects in a vibrant environment, with a competitive salary and flexible working arrangements.

Position: Senior Construction Estimator
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 per annum, plus package
Working Arrangements: Office-based or flexible working options available, including remote work 3-4 days per wee

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze tender documents, including drawings and technical specifications, to prepare accurate and detailed estimates.
Manage subcontractor and supplier packages, perform take-offs, and communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to clarify queries and requirements.
Organize and conduct site visits, ensuring effective communication with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
Assess cost factors such as production time, materials, equipment, and labor to optimize project profitability.
Work closely with consultants, clients, and contractors to ensure project success.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure compliance with pricing requirements.
Provide cost-effective, value-engineered solutions and submit tenders accordingly.
Successfully transfer awarded projects to the construction team for execution.

Qualifications and Experience:

A degree in construction or a related field is preferred, though significant relevant experience will also be considered.
Minimum of five years of experience as an Estimator with a principal contractor in the UK.
Proficient in Excel; familiarity with Causeway estimating software is preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Capability to meet tight deadlines and handle the pressures of the role.
