NMS Recruit are seeking an experienced Senior Fibre Planner for an exciting opportunity working with a thriving ISP. The Senior Fibre Planner is responsible for all Planning activities in their assigned region, overseeing Fibre Design staff, design civils and fibre-optic infrastructure. This must be performed to agreed install methodologies and techniques, which are cost-effective and fit-for-purpose, within timescales that are suitable both for the company and the customer.Responsibilities• To design suitable civils and fibre optic infrastructure which are cost-effective, fit-for-purpose and, where required, future-proof.• To ensure all fibre records are maintained and updated accurately within their region.• To forecast CAPEX and OPEX requirements of designed infrastructure projects.• To produce detailed industry-standard documentation of that design.• To help develop, implement and champion network topologies.• To drive consistency, quality, suitability, and cost-effectiveness.Experience • Detailed understanding of all aspects of civils route planning• Detailed understanding of all aspects of fibre planning• Ability to understand and produce detailed industry-standard level of survey, installation, and as-built documentation• Knowledge and understanding of lit fibre services• FTTP methodologies and design• Working knowledge of GIS software, APX, GComms, GE Smallworld or similar.• Full understanding of UK local and national authority regulations in respect to civil engineering worksDriving licence Benefits£50,000 - £55,000 DOECar allowance25 days holiday plus bank holidaysBirthday offDeath in serviceadditional benefits Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
