A Global Insurance Company are looking for an Underwriting Team Leader to join their established team in Birmingham. This is a really unique opportunity where you will have the best of both worlds from overseeing the team whilst also managing the portfolio to deliver the company's strategy and performance.

The team covers several products such as Cargo, Construction & Engineering so we are ideally looking for someone that has exposure to one of these areas as well as previous experience of supervising a team.

You will work with the underwriters to develop strong relationships across the regional market whilst delivering a profitable and balanced growth. One of the main responsibilities in this role will be to use your technical underwriting expertise and guidance to less experienced underwriting staff to help build their knowledge. You will have other managerial responsibilities whilst managing workloads and referrals so the ideal person will need to have good organisational skills.

Hybrid working will be available however there will be an expectation to be present due to the nature of the role.
