We are looking for a senior estimator to join a leading energy service provider, renowned for their commitment to excellence and innovation. With a strong track record in delivering major electrical works, they play a vital role in the regulated electricity Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) industry. Their projects range from one-off assignments to long-term framework agreements, each contributing to the growth and enhancement of the UK's electrical infrastructure.

Job Description:

As a Senior Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role within their Electrical Distribution business, responsible for designing and delivering critical electrical projects that power the nation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced estimator to join their team and work on projects that make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimation: Accurately estimate the cost and resources required for electrical projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and regulatory standards
  • Bid Management: Lead the bid process, creating compelling proposals that meet client requirements while ensuring competitive pricing.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather essential project data and insights to inform estimates.
  • Cost Control: Monitor project costs and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities associated with projects, offering insight into mitigation strategies.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring we understand and meet their needs.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain quality and compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the estimating process.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field. Relevant certifications or qualifications preferred.
  • Proven experience as an electrical estimator in the utilities or DNO industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems and the regulatory framework.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
