Deputy Ward Manager
Salary: £43,014 - £46,314 (Depending on Experience)
Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

About the Deputy Ware Manager role:
As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring high standards of patient care, clinical safety, and staff development. This position offers the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary setting, providing support and guidance to a dedicated nursing team.
Key Responsibilities for the Deputy Ward Manager:
Lead and support a team of nursing staff, ensuring a safe, effective, and person-centred approach to care.
Act as a senior nurse, providing clinical expertise and mentorship to the team.
Assist in managing ward operations, including staff rotas, supervision, and training.
Promote a positive culture that values patient well-being, dignity, and recovery.
Oversee risk assessments and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored interventions and care plans.
Provide clinical supervision and professional development for nursing staff.
Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Ward Manager.
What We're Looking For in the Deputy Ward Manager:
Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD) qualification
Minimum three years of post-registration experience within mental health or learning disability services.
Strong leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring staff.
A proactive and compassionate approach to patient care.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Knowledge of relevant policies, statutory requirements, and risk management principles.
