Teaching Assistant, Special Needs School
Are you a Teaching Assistant or Classroom Assistant with Special Needs experience? Are you looking for an opportunity to support children with additional needs at an outstanding SEN School? This school is looking for a kind, caring and reliable Classroom Assistant to Teaching Assistant to provide support for a small Key Stage 2 class. Ideally you will have experience supporting children with special educational needs including, MLD and Autism.
As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will be joining a friendly and supportive team of Teachers and Classroom Assistants who are committed to providing every child with a wonderful education. The needs of children vary and the ability to adapt your approach to suit individual needs is essential. This school are happy to offer a long-term opportunity for the right person and are committed to providing ongoing training and CPD. Experience with special needs is essential and a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
Job role:
- Providing 1-2-1 and call group support for children with special educational needs Assisting the class teacher in supporting the needs of children
- Delivering fun activities for small groups Ensuring that every child enjoys a wonderful education and feels happy to be in school
- Working with a team of Teaching Assistants / Classroom Assistants to support individual needs of students
