Teaching Assistant | Birmingham, Perry Bar, B42 | 95 - 105 per day | September 2024
LTF Recruitment are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support students in the new academic year, from September 2024, in a welcoming secondary school located in the Birmingham, Perry Bar area (B42).
The successful candidate will join a supportive and successful school, taking a positive approach to supporting students with a passion for helping them to reach their full potential. The role is a fixed term role, until July 2025, with the view to join the school permanently after this. The successful candidate will work from 8:15am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday during term time only.
Role Responsibilities:
- Offer individualised support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with students, staff and parents to build a supportive network
- Collaborate closely with teachers to understand the students learning styles, strengths and challenges of individual students
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom culture that fosters a sense of value and support for all students
- Develop positive relationships with students, guiding them in adhering to school rules and expectations
Person Specification:
- Hold a relevant qualification or degree in education, special education, or a related field
- Demonstrate the ability to work with diverse learning needs, adapt learning and provide tailored support
- Have a passion for education and fostering a positive learning experience for all students
- An Enhanced DBS and two references are a requirement for this role
