Long Term Futures is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream primary school in B73, Sutton Coldfield. The role involves providing 1:1 support to a Reception pupil with special educational needs, helping them thrive academically and socially. This long-term role has the potential to transition into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver focused 1:1 support to a Reception pupil with SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met effectively.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment to support the child's learning and personal development.
- Assist in adapting learning activities to suit the pupil's specific requirements.
- Provide both academic and personal care support as required.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to implement tailored strategies for the child's progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure consistency and a strong partnership.
Requirements:
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience supporting children with SEND, ideally within a school setting.
- Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with additional needs, such as Autism (ASD) or developmental delays.
- A proactive and caring approach, with a commitment to making a real difference in the pupil's life.
