A leading Business Consultancy that provides commercial support services to SME's are currently recruiting for a HR Manager to join the team initially on a 12 month FTC to cover a maternity leave. There is potential of this role becoming permanent, adding to the HR team.
The role is predominately based at home but you will meet the HRD once a week at a suitable location agreed. Based between the Midlands and Northampton would be ideal. The business has 2 sites and they are based in Manchester and Sheffield. Travel to these locations is only, as and when needed. With a workforce of only 75 heads, travel is minimal.
This is a pure generalist role where every day can be different. As you only have a small workforce the work can be varied and touches all elements of HR.
- Handling employment relations issues such as grievances and employee welfare
- Collaborating with other managers in the business, to ensure the smooth running of the company from a people perspective
- Partnering with senior operational staff including the HR director, to establish and roll-out people-related strategy
- Overseeing staff attendance and absence monitoring
- Providing detailed HR reports to senior management teams
- Administration of employee-related paperwork, such as employment contracts, new starter packs, or formal notices of termination
This would suit a generalist who enjoys being hands-on and part of a small team where every day can be different. Travel weekly to meet your HRD and visit sites as and when needed. CIPD qualified.
Package: Based between £45,000 - £50,000 - 12 moth FTC (initially) - large selection of benefits
