Senior HR ManagerBased in BirminghamPaying up to £65k DOE

Our client, a leading recruitment agency with a strong focus on sales and client delivery, is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior HR Manager to join their team. In this stand alone role, as the number two to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be instrumental in developing the HR function and driving a people-focused culture to support the business's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Partnering:

  • Act as a strategic partner to the Operations Director and senior leadership team, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with managers and teams, providing guidance on HR matters and supporting the achievement of operational goals.

2. Coaching and Developing Managers:

  • Provide tailored coaching and mentoring to sales managers, equipping them with the tools and skills needed to lead high-performing teams.
  • Develop and deliver management training programs focused on enhancing leadership capabilities, particularly in a fast-paced sales environment.

3. Recruitment and Inductions:

  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a seamless candidate experience and successful onboarding.
  • Partner with managers to attract and retain top sales and operational talent, identifying key competencies for success.

4. Employee Relations:

  • Support managers with disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance improvement plans (PIPs), ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, mediating complex employee relations issues to achieve positive outcomes.

5. Training and Development:

  • Monitor and support the completion of training requirements for all employees, ensuring compliance and readiness.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous professional development and organise tailored workshops to upskill the workforce.

6. Policy Management:

  • Regularly audit and update HR policies, ensuring they remain compliant and reflect current business needs.
  • Drive the implementation of policies that support a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

7. Employee Engagement:

  • Champion initiatives to monitor and enhance employee morale, including surveys, action plans, and events.
  • Support team-building activities and recognition programs to foster a collaborative and motivated workforce.

8. HR Technology and Reporting:

  • Optimise the use of the HR platform, ensuring efficient data management and reporting.
  • Leverage analytics to provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent qualification).
  • Proven experience in HR management, particularly within a sales-driven or client-focused environment.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a focus on leadership development.
  • Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and data analytics.
