This is a trainee position and as part of a govt initiative, we can only consider candidates who DO NOT HAVE a teaching or assessing qualification. The role is home based with learners located in the Birmingham area.
Purpose of the role: Trainee Functional Skills Tutor
Once fully trained, you will be delivering interactive English and Maths to adult apprenticeship learners, both remotely (via telephone, video, email) and also face to face, to learners in their place of work.
Trainee Functional Skills Tutor: Essentials
- GCSE (or equivalent) C or above English and Maths
- A passion for people development and a keen interest in English and Maths
- UK driving license and use of own transport
- A mixture of home working/remote and visiting learners in their place of work, in and around the Birmingham area
- Desirable but not essential - a background in either Early Years, Care or Hospitality (apprenticeship learners will be from these subject areas)
Trainee Functional Skills Tutor: Salary and Expenses
- 26k rising to 30k upon completing teaching qualifications
- The role is full-time, permanent
- 34 days annual leave, including BHs
