Gleeson Recruitment Group have just been briefed on a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a growing business based in Birmingham. The experienced Business Analyst will need to bridge the gap between IT and business operations. A strong background in delivering technology change is key and some experience in WMS and or Field Service Engineering would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary expert in both process and technology for one or more functional areas.
  • Build excellent relationships internally and with customers and suppliers
  • Deliver business change of varying sizes, from scoping and analysis of requirements and specification through to testing and implementation.
  • Creation of project deliverables related to system development e.g. BRD, functional specifications, data mapping, test plans.
  • Execute relevant system configuration activities and create/maintain related documentation
  • Ensure quality handover of change to the Service Desk and transition to BAU.
  • Support the Service Desk as an expert resource to help understand and resolve complex incidents and problems related to area of expertise or related to delivered change
  • Develop sound understanding of business process, software, data and configuration in order to maximise effectiveness in the role
  • Support organisation security, training and communication efforts

Provide roll-out support and training where necessary

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in an IT discipline or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ year's experience in Business Systems analysis
  • Proven track record in delivering successful technology change projects
  • Some technical experience, e.g. SQL, XML, JSON, Python, Unix
  • Desirable functional disciplines (ideally one of): WMS; Field Service Management; Order Management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with business process modeling and documentation
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Field Service Management solutions is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and integrations
