HAYS are delighted to be working with one of our clients headquartered in the West Midlands to recruit for a Contract Manager on a permanent basis. This role will sit within the IT and Digital category and will be responsible for the management of my clients' digital and technology contract and vendor portfolios. The successful candidate will support the IT Commercial Manager in delivering an effective contract management framework, ensuring that all contracts are in line with relevant regulations, compliance and best practice.

This permanent vacancy comes with a salary of between £45,000 and £50,000 per annum (dependent on skills and experience), a hybrid working pattern and a generous benefits package.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Set and monitor the overall digital, data and technology contracts and ensure robust cost control.
  • Manage and deliver high-quality commercial and contractual documentation, including statements of work and contractual variations.
  • Provide contract and commercial advice, guidance and support within the digital, data and technology contractual portfolio and across my clients' stakeholder community.
  • Manage and lead on variations and amendments to agreements, in line with stakeholder needs.
  • Assist in the management of agreements throughout their lifecycle.
  • Lead on any commercial disputes arising as necessary.
  • Managing the portfolio of suppliers and being the point of escalation for contractual and commercial issues.
  • Reviews of policies and procedures, programmes of work, and contract health checks.
  • Monitor supplier KPIs and providing commercial support in situations of under or non-performance.
  • Manage payments of suppliers in line with the payment milestone/schedule agreed in the contract and deliver savings opportunities across the portfolio.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience and knowledge of contract and performance management.
  • Negotiation skills, cost optimisation and dispute resolution processes.
  • Experience of managing significant or multidisciplinary contracts with a proven track record of supporting IT procurements.
  • Communication, influencing and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to build credibility with stakeholders.
  • The ability to articulate contract issues and produce high-level reports for senior managers and partners.
  • Knowledge and Experience in digital and technology contract management platforms e.g., ServiceNow, In-Tend and Oracle or equivalent.
  • WCC, CIPS or MCIPS qualifications would be desirable.
