IT Quality Assurance ManagerBirmingham 1-2 days a month or any other UK office with remote working optionsProfessional services/audit/legal/tax/finance£55,000 - 65,000 + benefitsLeading professional services firm is actively recruiting for an IT Quality Assurance Manager to deliver IT quality assurance capability which will involve assuming responsibility for ensuring all IT services, and infrastructure meet the highest standards of quality and performance aligned to defined standards, and that our technology risks are appropriately managed.The IT Quality Assurance Manager will work closely with internal and third-party technology teams, information security and business teams to develop and implement quality standards, manage quality testing processes, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. This role will bridge the gap between governance resources focussing on compliance reporting and technology delivery teams, to ensure the technology function operates in line with principles, policies and standards defined. They will also ensure any agreed remediation activity identified through continual improvement, audit or actions from monthly review are on track.The ideal candidate will have experience in compliance, with a track record of success in defining, improving and driving change in IT, navigating risk mitigation and defining quality assurance.Key Responsibilities for the position of: IT Quality Manager / Quality Lead /IT Quality Assurance Test Manager
- Define, document, and maintain a quality assurance capability for IT services. • Establish quality benchmarks and metrics to measure IT Quality effectiveness. • Coordinate with CMO to ensure this is built into new projects, including testing teams to ensure thorough testing of all IT products and services, including functional, performance, security, and usability testing. • Ensure IT systems comply with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. • Coordinate with the information security GRC team and second line risk function to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to IT quality and performance. • Continuously evaluate and improve IT quality assurance processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implement automated tools and techniques to streamline quality assurance activities. • Collaborate with IT teams, project managers, and service line stakeholders to ensure quality objectives are met throughout the project lifecycle. • Communicate quality assurance findings, issues, and recommendations to leadership and relevant teams. • Provide mentorship and guidance to IT team members on quality management best practices and tools. • Engage with incident management teams to investigate quality-related incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation of root cause analysis. Implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence of issues. • Provide key point of contact for IT Governance Risk and Control, Risk Assurance and Internal Audit to report on alignment • Chair monthly IT Quality forum and report on alignment of in-flight remediation activities to target, driving stakeholders to have clarity of expectation and early awareness where there are risks of non-compliance
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience required for the position of IT Quality Assurance Manager / QA Manager: • Strong and clear understanding of quality management and compliance concepts in a regulated environment. • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships clearly with stakeholders at all levels. Able to form meaningful relationships across functions to align delivery functions across other teams and third parties to achieve agreed target outcomes. • Gravitas within the function as a responsible individual with accountabilities critical to the firm, and able to drive outcome and communicate with variety of stakeholders from board level to technical and project teams. • Technical expertise is advantageous but not a mandatory requirement. • Certifications such as CSQA, ITSQB Certified Tester, ITIL Foundation considered an advantage but not required.
