Pertemps is exclusively representing a fantastic client who is seeking a dedicated HGV Mechanic. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the fleet of vehicles is ready to respond to vehicle breakdowns promptly, assisting the valued customers in getting back on the road efficiently. This position offers a dynamic and fast-paced working environment, ideal for individuals with a flexible approach to work.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, in addition to maintaining the fleet, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills through specialist recovery & rescue training. There's also potential to obtain your L/HGV driving licence if desired.
Experience Required:
" Minimum 2 years as an HGV Mechanic (preferred)
" HGV Level 3
" DBS (preferred but not essential)
Job Specification:
" Conducting inspections, service routines, and repairs
" Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in various vehicles
" Completing vehicle safety inspections to the highest standards
" Contributing to the maintenance of a safe and efficient workshop environment
" Preparing vehicles for MOT and presentation for testing
" Ensuring personal and team safety while minimizing the risk of injury and vehicle damage
" Ordering and sourcing vehicle parts, managing emails, word processing, and conducting web-based searches.
" Carry out fundamental tasks associated with removal and replacement procedures on a vehicle.
