IT Support Analyst - Birmingham - Progress to 3rd line level

IT Support Analyst / Senior IT Support Engineer with 2nd line IT support experience, in Office 365, AzureAD, Desktop support, and Virtualisation such as Vmware, Cloud or Citrix is required by a leading law firm based in Birmingham. You will work with the latest Microsoft Cloud technology from an IT infrastructure perspective and my client has a clear career path to this role moving to a 3rd line IT infrastructure support role, so they want somebody keen to progress.

Experience required:

• Excellent 2nd line IT support experience in Windows 10 and MS Office 365, Azure AD etc
• Some basic 3rd line support experience in Windows Server at an admin level
• Networking experience - patching, knowledge of DNS/DHCP, WAN, etc
• Some experience with VMware Horizon View or other VDI technologies such as Cloud, Hyper-V or Citrix
• Good 2nd line IT support experience in Desktop and Laptop PC hardware and software maintenance as well as building/imaging PCs

Duties in the role include:

• Providing 2nd line & some 3rd line support to the 600+ user base via the Service Desk. Managing the life cycle of support requests through to resolution.
• Build and manage IT including Laptops, iPhones and Desktops.
• Participate in IT projects as required, with exposure to some 3rd-line support work.
• Process all IT-related aspects of Personnel Change including new starters.
• Maintain the IT asset register & IT Knowledge Base.
• Deal with 3rd party suppliers when appropriate.

My client is looking to pay a starting salary of between £32,000 - £40,000 + benefits including private healthcare. Also, there is a training plan to move to a fully-fledged 3rd line role and progress in the IT
