We are supporting a well-known business in the construction and building services sector that has opened a new opportunity for an experienced and driven IT Support Technician. They provide nationwide services to various sectors and are undergoing aggressive expansion.

This role suits individuals who have been working in a smaller business with strong 1st and 2nd line experience looking to advance to 3rd line with excellent customer/client business acumen.

We are looking for someone with experience working in an environment that utilizes Microsoft products extensively as this business utilizes an array of MS products, services and offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting daily operations of network and server infrastructure in offices and projects
  • Evaluating risks, developing network recovery and backup processes
  • Ensuring IT activities comply with applicable laws, codes, and regulations
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and adjusting information systems for effective operation
  • Supporting network, data security, and communication systems
  • Assisting managers with software permissions and access
  • Providing project support for ad hoc requests to design and implement business-specific apps and automated workflows
  • Asset maintenance

Requirements:

  • 5 years in an IT-focused role
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or similar role with strong hardware, software, and network knowledge (Desktop Support, IT Support Engineer etc)
  • Ideally from a smaller business and had exposure to a variety of responsibilities. Looking for someone that has a “no job is too small” attitude
  • Qualifications are advantageous but not required
  • Azure experience required
  • HyperV desirable
  • Basic printer skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products including SharePoint, Dataverse, and Power BI
  • Experience with server platforms and switches
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Experience with INTUNE /VMware is highly beneficial; you must demonstrate the ability to set up and deploy with INTUNE.
