The Role:

As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing and supervising a small team of staff. You will oversee the entire process, ensuring that their products meet the highest standards of quality and finish. Your technical expertise in metal plating, finishing and chemistry will be essential in optimising processes, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of skilled staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Oversee the metal plating and finishing process for gold, nickel, and silver; ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure all products meet specifications.
  • Collaborate with the production and quality teams to address any technical challenges.
  • Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Maintain accurate records of plating processes, chemical usage, and production data.

About You:

  • Experience:Proven experience in metal plating, with a strong focus on gold, nickel and silver processes.
  • Leadership:Previous experience in managing or supervising small teams, with a track record of developing and motivating staff.
  • Technical Skills:Deep understanding of plating chemistry, electroplating processes and related equipment.
  • Problem-Solving:Ability to troubleshoot plating issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Attention to Detail:Strong focus on quality control and adherence to specifications.
