Are you a Maintenance Fitter looking for a new permanent challenge with a major rolling mill company who are specialists in copper coil worldwide? If yes, we want to hear from you!Annual Salary: £48,000Annual Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidaysWeekly Shifts: 4 on/off - 6am to 6pm / 6pm to 6amKey Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and repair of rolling mills, slitters and other machinery
  • Planning and undertaking scheduled PPM'S (planned preventative maintenance tasks) in relevant timeframes.
  • Pro-active to call outs / breakdowns / line stoppages in timescales agreed.
  • Diagnosing faults & repairing equipment
  • Creating a spare parts solution plan
  • Monitor breakdown and repair data using in house computer system
  • Encourage continuous improvement and highlight deficiencies
  • Attend meeting and training courses as required
  • Ensuring that all machinery and equipment runs efficiently at all times with minimum downtime.
  • Providing support to maintenance team, including coaching and mentoring staff
Qualifications/Experience required: 
  • City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent
  • Engineering apprenticeship
  • 3 plus years as a Mechanical Engineer in heavy steel environment
