SF Recruitment are working with a business based in Birmingham who are looking for Claims Advisors - Commercial to join the team Must have Commercial Claims experience c£60,000 Role Overview As a Claims Handler specialising in commercial claims, you will manage a portfolio of claims involving a variety of business clients. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient, accurate, and fair claims handling while providing excellent customer service and maintaining regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Claims Management: Manage a caseload of commercial claims, including property damage, liability, and business interruption claims. Conduct thorough investigations to validate claims, gather evidence, and assess liability. Work collaboratively with brokers, adjusters, and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of claims. Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to commercial clients, ensuring their needs are met during the claims process. Communicate policy coverage, terms, and conditions clearly and professionally. Provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders on claim progress. Compliance and Reporting: Adhere to all regulatory and company policies when handling claims. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of claims activities and decisions. Produce detailed reports and summaries for senior management and compliance teams as required. Collaboration and Process Improvement: Liaise with internal departments, external suppliers, and legal teams to resolve complex claims. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Skills and Experience: Essential: Proven experience in handling commercial insurance claims. Strong knowledge of commercial insurance policies, including property, liability, and business interruption. Excellent investigative and analytical skills. Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with the confidence to manage complex client relationships. High level of attention to detail and organisational skills. Proficiency in using claims management software and MS Office applications. Desirable: Industry qualifications (e.g., CII Diploma or equivalent). Familiarity with FCA regulations and compliance standards. Experience in managing high-value or complex commercial claims.
