We are excited to present an excellent opportunity for a talented Civil Engineer to join our client's expanding team. This role offers the chance to take the lead on a variety of projects, ensuring resources are effectively managed and goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough analysis and prepare design calculations, drawings, and reports with minimal supervision, ensuring they are ready for peer review by other team members.
- Assist Senior Engineers throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design to final completion, providing support as needed.
- Leverage your expertise in relevant legislation such as the Highways Act 1980, Water Industry Act 2004, Land Drainage Act, New Roads and Street Works Act, and other statutory frameworks to influence development and infrastructure planning.
- Deliver high-quality designs for a range of projects including feasibility studies, costing, construction, highways and drainage systems, street works, public infrastructure, SUDS, building drainage, and utilities coordination/diversions.
- Coordinate comprehensive site investigations, conduct inspections, and address any emerging issues proactively.
- Prepare and gain approval for fee proposals for both single and multi-discipline projects, ensuring adherence to company procedures and client-specific requirements.
- Accurately assess variations and evaluate impacts on project fees, costs, and timelines, liaising with clients and customer organizations to ensure alignment.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, team members, and other construction professionals, ensuring clarity on project expectations and progress.
- Represent the company at design meetings with clients and other stakeholders, contributing to a collaborative and productive environment.

- Stay up to date with professional development and the IPD/CPD requirements of the ICE to maintain and enhance your industry knowledge.
- Manage your time effectively, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks, including submission of timesheets.
Software Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D Drafting, PDS Site Developer / Civil 3D, Flow / Micro-drainage, TEDDS, and other recognized industry software tools.
Qualifications:
- A BEng/MEng or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering (or a related subject) from a JBM-accredited course.
- If not Chartered, close to achieving Chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers.
