Role: Family Law Solicitor (Private Family Matters)
Salary: £50,000 - £75,000
Location: Remote working with 1 if not 2 days a month in Birmingham office
Years of PQE: Minimum 6 years
My client are a reputable well established Family Law firm and listed on the Legal 500 hiring at Associate/Senior Associate Level.
You will be an experienced Family Law solicitor
Duties In your role you will be responsible for:
- You will be expected to provide expert Family Law advice and guidance to the Firm’s clients, managing client cases efficiently, in line with the wishes of the client and in accordance with the law.
- Managing a full caseload, you will take ownership of the client cases assigned to you and provide first class client care and management.
- To maintain your level of competence you will be expected to ensure and continuing competence by keeping up to date on legal updates, changes to the law and relevant case law.
- As a Solicitor practitioner, you will act in accordance with the SRA or CILEx code of conduct.
- You will act as a role model across the firm in relation to fee generation and client service.
- Advising on all matters relating to Family Law including divorce, financial remedy proceedings, cohabitation disputes, children and domestic violence, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements whilst complying with LEXCEL requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Qualified Fee Earner with relevant private Family Law experience
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Family Law matters including divorces, children and finances.
- Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of the SRA Rules and preferably have a working knowledge of the Lexcel guidelines.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
