About the Company

Our client is a leading commercial law firm in Birmingham, renowned for its expertise in housing, local government, and health and social care sectors. The firm also operates in construction, energy, higher education, and financial services, delivering top-tier legal services to a diverse range of clients. With continuous revenue and profit growth over the past decade, they are looking to expand their Housing Management team as part of their strategic growth plans.

The Role

As a Housing Litigation Solicitor, you will join a dynamic and expanding team that is one of the largest housing management practices in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor at NQ-6 PQE level to provide legal advice on a wide variety of housing litigation matters to social landlords and other housing providers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling possession claims and breach of tenancy disputes.
  • Advising on disrepair claims and service charge disputes.
  • Managing injunction claims, including access injunctions for gas and electricity safety.
  • Working on Equality Act 2010 and Mental Capacity Act 2005 cases.
  • Dealing with leasehold management advice and failed succession cases.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with social landlords (experience advising housing associations is desirable).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident in managing client relationships.
  • A practical, solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A genuine commitment to the social housing sector.
