Are you a passionate and skilled property lawyer looking for a new challenge? We are working with an ambitious and customer-focused business as they look to expand their legal team due to significant growth. Joining this team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the business property transactions to successful completion.

Role Overview:

As the In-House Property Lawyer, you will work closely with the General Counsel, and your primary responsibility will be managing and executing key property transactions, focusing on land acquisitions and bulk sales. Day to day this may include:

  • Evaluating and interpreting heads of terms for both land purchases and bulk sales.
  • Working closely with the land acquisition teams, external legal counsel, lenders, planning, construction, and technical departments to negotiate and finalise transactions.
  • Structuring, negotiating, and drafting all essential transaction documents.
  • Collaborating with teams to ensure that all conditions of funding agreements have been met, ensuring timely and successful transaction completions.
  • Provide comprehensive reports on transaction progress and outcomes to senior management, and stakeholders where necessary.

Qualifications:

  • UK Qualified Solicitor / CILEX with a focus on residential development.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with various departments, shareholders, and external stakeholders.

This is a fantastic and rare opportunity to make a move in-house, with a business going through a period of significant growth. As part of this role, there will be the opportunity to up-skill and develop within the business.
