I am currently working with a well-regarded Legal 500 law firm in the Midlands who are looking to make a hire into their Planning team. On offer is an established and supportive team, excellent quality work and a competitive salary.

Key responsibilities of the Planning Solicitor

As a Planning Solicitor, you will play a crucial role in handling a caseload under the supervision of more senior lawyers within the team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Offering high quality legal advice to clients on a wide range of legal issues and procedural matters
  • General planning litigation, such as drafting and bundle preparation
  • Engaging in litigation processes including drafting pre-action correspondence and pleadings
  • Interest and involvement with the firm's business development initiatives

Key skills required of the Planning Solicitor

You will be a UK qualified solicitor at NQ level up 3 years post qualification experience. Given the nature of the work, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, great client management skills and a keen eye for detail. You must be proficient at working in an organised and efficient manner.
