Job Summary:

An established and purpose-driven law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive to join their Birmingham-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a diverse caseload of Private Client matters, including Wills, Probate, Powers of Attorney, and Estate Planning, while working with a team of nationally recognised practitioners in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Handle a broad caseload, including drafting Wills, managing Probate and Estate Administration, creating and administering Trusts, and advising on Powers of Attorney.
  • Client Advice: Provide clients with tailored advice on inheritance tax positions, estate planning, and risk management.
  • Technical Drafting: Draft high-quality legal documents such as Wills, Declarations of Trust, and Deeds of Variation.
  • Collaborative Working: Work flexibly across the Private Client team and with other departments to provide comprehensive client solutions.
  • Career Development: Opportunity to grow your expertise in estate and tax planning, with the potential for involvement in complex, high-value matters.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A qualified Solicitor/Legal Executive with 3-5+ years' PQE and a Practicing Certificate.
  • Strong experience in drafting Wills, administering estates, and offering inheritance tax advice.
  • Experience with creating and managing Trusts is essential.
  • Confidence in independently managing a varied caseload.
  • Proficiency with IT and case management systems.
  • Membership in STEP or SFE is beneficial but not essential.
