Meraki Talent are delighted to be supporting an international investment bank who are seeking a talented and motivated Trade and Finance Lawyer. This role will be to support Trade & Working Capital business across the bank. In this role, you will focus on trade finance, providing expert legal advice and managing legal risks related to a wide range of transactions and strategic projects. Key Responsibilities:

Provide legal advice to international Trade & Working Capital teams with a focus on trade finance transactions.
Advise on various trade and working capital products, including trade loans, export credit agency-backed financings, letters of credit discounting, and ESG products.
Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documentation to the highest standard.
Support the implementation of regulatory changes and strategic projects.

I’m Looking For:

English law qualified Solicitor with expertise in banking/finance law.
Proven track record in structured transactions and cross-border deals.
Strong technical legal skills with the ability to draft and negotiate complex documentation.
Exceptional organizational skills to manage projects and competing priorities.

Highly Valued Skills:

Expertise in trade finance products, including bonds, guarantees, and export credit agency-backed financings.
Experience in a financial institution’s in-house legal team is advantageous.
A commercial mindset with the ability to think strategically and solve problems.
