We're partnered with a specialist family law firm who are looking for a paralegal to support a very senior solicitor within the care team, predominantly with guardian work. This is a great opportunity to for someone looking to progress a career in family law with a specialist firm.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in organising and preparing case files, including drafting documents, compiling evidence, and managing court bundles.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, handling queries, updating them on case progress, and ensuring their needs are addressed professionally.
  • Conduct thorough research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations related to child protection, family law, and guardianship.
  • Prepare correspondence, statements, and legal forms, including care plans, position statements, and applications.
  • Assist with court-related tasks, including scheduling hearings, filing documents, and liaising with court officials.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (Cafcass), and other agencies involved in guardianship cases.
  • Review, organize, and maintain sensitive case materials, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws.
