Litigation Supervisor / Manager - Birmingham

Job Overview

TSR Legal are proud to be working with a leading international law firm who are now seeking a Supervisor to lead a dedicated Vehicle Hire team, managing various aspects of defendant credit hire dispute resolution. This role involves supervising claims ranging from small track to multi-track, including fraudulent claims, and supporting strategic initiatives to provide insurers with tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor a team handling volume litigated credit hire cases, ensuring high performance, compliance with SLAs, and staff development.
  • Client Management: Act as the primary contact for clients, providing expert advice and supporting marketing and business development efforts.
  • File Supervision: Ensure files are handled proactively, and fee earners meet commercial and client demands effectively.
  • Performance Management: Carry out reviews, manage absences, and oversee staff well-being.
  • Work Allocation: Distribute work according to skillsets, ensuring profitability and high-quality service.

Candidate Profile

  • Supervisory Experience: Preferably in a motor or vehicle hire environment, with a proven ability to handle credit hire or similar case types.

  • Commercial Acumen and Analytical Skills: Able to evaluate evidence critically and make commercially sound decisions.
