SF Recruitment are working with a business based in Birmingham who are looking for a Warehouse Manager to join the team £35,000 - £40,000 About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse staff, ensuring efficient storage and distribution of goods, and maintaining a safe and organised working environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance management. Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement team to manage inventory effectively. Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and optimise inventory control. Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and customers to ensure smooth logistical operations. Prepare and analyse reports on warehouse performance and implement improvements where necessary. Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities. Handle any issues related to goods, including damage, returns, and discrepancies. Key Skills and Experience Required Proven experience in a warehouse management or supervisory role. Strong leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control processes. Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities. Understanding of health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
