Key Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications such as an advanced modern apprenticeship, Level 3 NVQ/BTEC, or equivalent is mandatory.
- Proven experience in a similar role within maintenance operations, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
- Technical skills in automotive engineering, both mechanical and electrical.
- Expertise in Fault Finding, with a preference for experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley is ideal).
- Knowledge of Electrical Control and Mechanical Systems.
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient equipment performance within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & Environment framework.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives by identifying root causes of faults and implementing permanent corrective actions.
- Contribute to the achievement of preventative maintenance (PPM) targets, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment function.
- Provide technical support during breakdowns (TPM), ensuring quick and safe recovery of all facilities and controls.
- Achieve set objectives for equipment service and repair, adhering to best practices in safety and efficiency.
Shift Patterns and Compensation:
Shift Choice 1: "322" Shift Pattern
- 12-hour shifts (night shift inclusive)
- Pay rate: £43.73 Umbrella PAYE per hour.
- Overtime rates apply.
