Maintenance Engineer

Location: Solihull

Position: Maintenance Engineer 

A world-renowned company at the forefront of automotive innovation is seeking skilled Maintenance Engineers to join their dynamic and growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work with iconic brands, contributing to a legacy of excellence and pushing the boundaries of automotive automation engineering.

Key Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications such as an advanced modern apprenticeship, Level 3 NVQ/BTEC, or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within maintenance operations, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
  • Technical skills in automotive engineering, both mechanical and electrical.
  • Expertise in Fault Finding, with a preference for experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley is ideal).
  • Knowledge of Electrical Control and Mechanical Systems.
  • Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient equipment performance within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & Environment framework.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives by identifying root causes of faults and implementing permanent corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the achievement of preventative maintenance (PPM) targets, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment function.
  • Provide technical support during breakdowns (TPM), ensuring quick and safe recovery of all facilities and controls.
  • Achieve set objectives for equipment service and repair, adhering to best practices in safety and efficiency.

Shift Patterns and Compensation:

Shift Choice 1: "322" Shift Pattern

  • 12-hour shifts (night shift inclusive)
  • Pay rate: £43.73 Umbrella PAYE per hour.
  • Overtime rates apply.
