Controls Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £60,000 Basic
Benefits: 10% Pension, generous holiday allowance, excellent overtime opportunities
Shifts: 4 on 4 off Continentals (Days)
Training: Full training package, including Siemens PLC and robotics up to Level 3

The Role: Controls Engineer-
Design, develop, and maintain control systems to optimize production processes.

Perform PLC programming, fault-finding, and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.).

Support and improve automated systems, including robotics and HMIs.

Work alongside the maintenance team to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.

Ensure all control systems comply with health & safety and regulatory standards.

Lead and support continuous improvement projects within the facility.

A Level 3 or above engineering qualification in Electrical/Controls Engineering.

Proven experience in a controls engineering role within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of PLCs, automation, and robotics.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

A proactive mindset with a keen interest in process improvements.
