They are looking to drive continuous improvement in all areas of the business and as the Head of Quality you will be leading the ongoing, end-to-end quality improvements. You will be working closely with the supplier network, the manufacturing operation and the customer to drive process improvements and ensure consistency.

Description

As the Head of Quality you will be developing initiatives and leading a quality department in ensuring quality assurance best practice is embedded across the operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and quality standards and processes
  • Strengthen and develop the QA team involvement to improve operator performance through coaching and training
  • Collaborate with other department heads to improve overall product quality
  • Ensure Internal process compliance and internal audit and corrective action processes
  • Develop and manage quality control metrics
  • Track corrective actions and process improvements through implementation and control
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and certifications
  • Maintain customer / ISO / ASO/ NADCAP approvals and accreditations
  • Manage quality assurance communication with customers and suppliers
  • Participate in strategic planning and budgeting for quality initiatives

Profile

This is a great opportunity for a Quality Manager looking to have more strategic input or a Head of Quality looking for the chance to shape a department. The successful applicant will have experience with manufacturing supplying products to the aerospace/defence sectors and the following:

  • Ideally higher or further education in engineering or a related field
  • Passionate about driving quality and continuous improvement
  • Excellent leadership, team management and team development skills
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record developing successful relationships internally and externally (with suppliers and customer etc.)

Job Offer
