Our client, a leading company in the power distribution and energy sector, is currently seeking a Site Manager specialising in substations to join their team. This is a permanent opportunity to work on NG and NGED substations ranging from 11kV up to 400kV, covering protection changes and new substation builds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing all on-site operations for substation projects
- Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery
- Scheduling and conducting site meetings to assess progress and address issues
- Implementing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with industry regulations
- Monitoring and reporting on project progress to senior management
- Ensuring all installations are conducted according to specifications and technical requirements
- Providing technical guidance and support on fitting and wiring tasks as needed
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in site management within the substation, power distribution, and energy sectors
- Proven expertise in managing substation projects from 11kV to 400kV
- SR163 or DNO authorised certs
- SMSTS
- Understanding of protection changes and new substation builds
- Experience in fitting and wiring is preferable
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance standards
Benefits:
- Starting Salary between 55,000-65,000 per annum
