- Manage the mechanical design process, ensuring project deliverables are met on time and to specification.
- Collaborate with clients and internal design teams to integrate mechanical systems into the overall plant design.
- Develop piping layouts, P&IDs, and equipment schedules to support the plant’s functionality.
- Perform mechanical calculations, including hydraulic analysis and FEA.
- Specify materials and coordinate with supply chain partners, ensuring technical compliance and quality standards.
- Participate in HAZOP studies, design risk assessments, and commissioning phases.
- A formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (HNC/HND, BEng, or MEng) and at least 7+ years of experience in municipal or industrial wastewater projects.
- Expertise in Autodesk mechanical modelling software, data management tools
- Interpreting PFDs/P&IDs.
- Knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, equipment used in water treatment, and mechanical specification development.
- Exceptional communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
