The Company:
A creative technical event production company specialising in supplying audio visual equipment and technical support, creating memorable corporate events, experiential events and product launches that provide their clients with unforgettable experiences.
Position Overview:
Taking full responsibility for technical event production and business growth within a Birmingham based venue, overseeing the end to end production of corporate events including conferences, award ceremonies and product launches.
You’ll be responsible for leading a team of technicians and production managers with a focus on increasing revenue for AV production within the venue.
Key Responsibilities:
-         Leading a team technicians and production managers within the venue.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Taking responsibility for recruitment and training of new technical staff.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Discussing client requirements and expectations for events and managing the brief taking process.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Specifying any staging and AV requirements for each project.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Building proposals and quotations and presenting these to clients.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Dealing with the allocation of in-house audio visual equipment along with liaising with external rental houses to manage any needs for procurement.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Management of client accounts, building relationships and ensuring client satisfaction to increase the probability of repeat business.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Management of project budgets taking responsibility for the profit and loss of each event.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Converting sales from potential clients, upselling where possible.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Creation of health and safety documentation.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Overseeing the production of (Apply online only) events per year.
Requirements:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Previous management experience is essential for this role.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Prior experience as a technical production manager within corporate events.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Strong knowledge of audio visual with the ability to specify requirements for each project.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Commercially aware with the ability to upsell and convert leads to sales.
-         Strong communication skills with the ability to understand client’s requirements and manage expectations.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â A willingness to work weekends and out of hours where required.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â CAD experience is preferred but not essential.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Venue based experience is also preferred but not essential.
Package:
-         Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Pension
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Target related bonuses
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Annual profit share
